Quick start
Adding Lienks to a site takes one script tag.
Add your site
- Create an account – Sign up at app.lienks.com, confirm your email address with the link in the confirmation email, then sign in. You can also sign in with Google.
- Create a workspace – Enter a name, that’s it. A workspace brings your websites and your team together.
- Choose how to start – Try Lienks free for 30 days (no payment method, up to 10,000 events) with Start trial, or pick a plan right away. You’ll find both in your workspace under Choose a plan.
- Add your site – Click Add Site in the sidebar and enter your domain, for example
example.com(withouthttps://).
Add the snippet
Add this to the <head> of every page:
<script defer src="https://app.lienks.com/a.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_ID"></script> After you create the site, the app shows the finished snippet with your site ID on the screen “Connect your website to Lienks”. Copy it from there with the copy button.
defer means the script doesn't block your page. data-site is the only attribute. Settings such as the tracking mode are set in the app, so the snippet stays the same.
For a complete example see Plain HTML. Guides for WordPress, Next.js and SvelteKit.
Check that it works
Open your website once in the browser. Until then, the dashboard shows “Waiting for the first pageview…”. It appears automatically as soon as the first pageview arrives.
Lienks records automatically:
- pageviews on page load
- navigations in single-page apps (via the History API, no framework integration needed)
- path and referrer
- the UTM parameters
utm_source,utm_mediumandutm_campaignof the current URL
If nothing arrives, see Troubleshooting.
